ARLO Basestation internet connection

I have an Ethernet network in additional to wireless routers. Can I simply plus the basestation into the network using any Ethernet connection or must the base station be plugged directly into a wireless router or range extender?

Any Ethernet connection that gives you access to the Internet can be used. I have used a direct connection to the router as well as to a switch and WiFi and powerline extenders.
