I have two wired floodlights.  Both lights stopped working unless turned on manually.  I replaced my old motion activated lights with these.
several other boards have indicated Arlo products stop working as lights without a recording subscription (my trial period ended recently).

I am about to return these products to the vendor, unless someone can tell me how to make them work again.

You didn't mention whether it's recordings or turning the lights on that's the problem. If the former, there's wording on the box, in the app as you install it as well as all documentation that these (and any new Arlo camera since 2018) require a subscription for cloud recordings. you get a trial sub to get started but afterwards need a paid sub for recordings.

A workaround is to connect the lights to a SmartHub instead of WiFi. You can set the hub for local recordings to an attached drive but be aware the experience is not the same as with cloud recordings.

Hey, thanks for the reply.  I’m not concerned about recording, for the moment.  Just a functioning light.  Factory reset has worked for one of them so far.  Annoying, but fixed, for now

@Pcennui are you still seeing the same behavior with your floodlight?

Removing the devices from the app and re-adding them did the trick. Still, this is bad behavior from the software imo.

i have a sour taste in my mouth, but they are working as intended after some fiddling.

good luck!
