I hooked up the wired doorbell with my existing chime box.
The chime box is both wired and with batteries.
It works fine for a couple days, activates the chimes BUT ever since I hooked it up it drains the four AA batteries in the chime box in a matter of days. They normally last at least a year. When bell is pressed it doesn't activate the chimes when batteries are dead.
Replaced batteries twice and both times it works for a couple days then they are drained.
Does anyone know a solution?
