This last update sucks. I have been chatting with support for over an hour and they don't even know how to guide you. Why would they errase your schedule and change all the names?

I have no clue what they do or what to do. My doorbell has a smaller screen from the rest, it's the most important.

I am only getting motion notifications. Nothing else.

This is beyond frustrating.

Also no forewarning

What names do you mean?

Confirmed with support that they errase all the schedules.

New names are arm away, arm home and stand by.

Makes no sense.

And each camera has to be added separately to the schedule.

Well, personally I think the names do make sense.  Note modes are for the system, not individual cameras.

  • Arm Away - intended for when you are not home, and by default arms all cameras
  • Arm Home - intended for when you are home, and by default arms all the outdoor camera models (leaving indoor models disarmed)
  • Standby - disarms all cameras.

The main issue here isn't the names, its the lack of custom modes.

I agree that scheduling and geofencing are harder than they should be (and the combination doesn't completely work).

You can't actually schedule cameras, you need to schedule modes.

How does it know what cameras are outside for arm home?

I am very confused.

i tried to set up the schedule but not confident that it will work.

there was no need to erase what you had already.

It doesn't.  As I said by default, indoor camera models are disarmed.  For example, the various Essential Indoor cameras.

However, you can modify all three modes, so you can tailor them to your setup. So if you are using

Can you tell us what you had set up before?  (number of cameras, the schedule, etc).  Then we can give you better advice.

I had to set up the schedule again and it didn't work. Had to call and they walk me through it.

Now we have Arm away, Arm home and Standby

Yes.

If you want tailored advice/help, then you need to tell us what cameras you have and when you wan them armed and disarmed.
