I am thinking of purchasing the Wired version of the door bell. I have read many posts and videos about the live video and notification latencies. Have those issues been fixed in the newer firmware or models? I have a mesh network with excellent coverage inside and about 20+feet outside around my home.

Latency can be caused by many things other than Internet upload speed. The connection between the doorbell and hub or router can have signal strength/quality issues caused by house construction and other 2.4GHz wireless devices. My wood house had no problems with connection when I had it installed and the current wireless ones are fine, too.
