Why no doorbell push notifications in the app instead of the annoying phonecall?

Is there any way besides changing brands to have the doorbell ring in the house, and not call the phone but instead send a push notification thru the app? These phonecalls are ridiculous and i would like to see the video feed before deciding to engage the person pushing the button. Arlo? Can you make that work?

Yes. If you enable silent mode, then there are separate settings for the phone and the doorbell.

Not when the doorbell is pressed. But you will receive a motion notification when someone enters the area near the camera.
FWIW, I agree it would be useful to have an option to get a notification when the doorbell is pressed instead of a phone call. I'd like to see this in the rules (since it'd be nice to get a call when away, but just the notification when home).
