When to use the angle mount

The documentation says to install the wall mount when the doorbell is not on the same wall as the door, but mine is on the same wall as the door. It is just further to the right because there is a thin window bordering the door. Because of this the doorbell only gets the user partially. Should I use the wall mount? Has anybody else had the same challenge?

No harm in using it if the doorbell needs to be angled a bit.
