I used to have Arlo in my previous residence. Was interested in installing in my new residence. But, do I now need to purchase a plan to have the videos available to review? How long will the videos be viewable if I don't purchase a plan?

Cloud recordings will require a subscription. The cameras come with a free trial but once those expire you'll need to purchase a plan for any recordings. If you use a hub to connect the cameras to, you can use local recordings to be able to view on the app but it's not the same experience as cloud recordings and has various limitations.

- Are you wanting to install the same equipment you used in the old residence?
- If you did, was there a subscription active in the your account?
The video doorbell does require a subscription for cloud storage, though some of the old cameras came with 7 days of free storage. So the equipment details do matter here.

Thank you. Can you clarify the limitations if using a hub?

Not sure what you mean by this question.
It'd be easier to answer if you let us know
- what Arlo devices you have (and if you are planning to re-deploy them)
- what Arlo devices you are thinking about purchasing
