Hi there, can this use my existing chime? I'm also trying to find a electrician to fit but am having no luck. I live in the UK and the only company I found is Verisure and they are not interested unless you buy the whole works.

Anyone know of any companies?

Thanks 😊

What chime do you have (manufacturer and model)?

Hi,
I'm not sure what made the chime is but it is a mechanical chime.
This is the transformer box.
Hoping power is enough 🙂

It is not enough for the AVD1001 (which requires 16-24 volts, and your transformer only delivers 8).

It should be enough for the AVD2001 (which is spec'd 8-24 volts, and since it is trickle-charging, doesn't need as much amperage as the AVD1001).

Doesn't it come with a more modern transformer as part of the kit?

Not in the US.  Not sure about other countries.

And of course the chime needs to be able to handle the higher voltage.

Ah I'm from the UK. I'm happy for the wire free version as it can still be wired and trickle charged. Hoping my chime will still work..

Thanks for replying 🙂
