Looking at buying an arlo video doorbell, but the doorbell would be mounted on an outdoor gate on a very busy street. I don't want to receive notifications of everyone walking by the house. Only when they ring the doorbell. Is this possible?

You could not have the notifications turned on for the camera, that way it would only ring to your phone when the bell was pressed. Please keep in mind the range in which the doorbell works as expected.

Battery life will likely be short due to all the foot and vehicle traffic, so you might need to turn off motion detection completely (no motion recordings and no notifications). You'll still get calls when the doorbell is pressed (and an Arlo Chime would also ring, so that would be a useful accessory). But no recordings unless you make one manually while livestreaming the camera.
