I have two electronic chimes (installed long prior to installing the Arlo).  They are "Re-bell" chimes, which play an mp3 of my choice when the doorbell is rung.   They're wired to the doorbell transformer, in series, as far as I can tell.  Pressing the doorbell completes the circuit, sends them power momentarily, which triggers their turning on, and their built-in batteries power their "singing".   With the Arlo power kit connected to ONE Of the two chimes, everything works fine, both chimes sing, but I get the "tamper" message every time the doorbell is pressed.   If the switch on the power kit is moved to the other position, the doorbell still has power, and still signals my phone, etc., but the chimes don't sing.

Is there a way to set this up so that it all works?  Do I need a second power kit for the other chime?

Thanks!

akahan,

If you're seeing a tamper message, this means the doorbell is losing power. It's possible this could be due to the second chime needing a power kit. I encourage you to contact the Arlo Support Team to further investigate this issue. You will find several options for contacting support in the provided link.
