Will my arlo essential door bell camera work with my existing system VMB3500r4? My existing system/cameras are not high definition but the essential doorbell camera is. I can not get the doorbell camera to connect with my base unit Model VMB3500r4

It's not compatible with the base - see the list here:
But you can still use it, by connecting the camera to your home wifi.

Arlo doesn't provide step-by-step instructions, but the app should guide you though it.

I've tried it many times I cannot get it to work properly. My neighbor is a military officer who is in the Tech business and he could not get it to work either. I followed the Arlo steps step-by-step and it's not working.

Note I don't work for Arlo - any steps I give you would be working from memory. It's been a while since I onboarded a doorbell, so that wouldn't be accurate enough to be helpful.
Can you give more details on where it is going wrong?

Sorry for the delayed response.... everything goes good with the installation until I get to where you hold the QR code up to the camera. There should be a chime of sorts denoting that the doorbell camera is working. Ive tried moving the QR code closer, further away. Even screen shot the QR code to make it bigger on the Tablet screen.
