Hi all, I have an Arlo wired doorbel, connected to a smarthub VMB5000. Now I was thinking of placing a camera at the backside of the house. The distance from the VMB5000 in the hallway to the backside of the house outside is about 25 meter, or 82 feet. The specs mention 300 feet. But when I’m out at the back, I cannot find the vmb5000’s signal. Can this be boosted, or should the camera find that signal?
thanks
Gunther

First, the base signal can not be boosted... you can use multi bases if a larger area to cover or centrally located the 5000 base by ethernet cable or a wifi extender with etherent port.
300 foot range is line of site with no interference... in real world, building materials can lower the signal alot.
My far camera, Ultra with a 5000 base , is about 100ft and sees one bar signal but works fine.
You don't mention the camera you want to use, but thinking you should sync the camera and then move it and see if the base stays connected.

Hi TomMac,
I was thinking about the essential spotlight.
I’ll try to move the smarthub upstairs, maybe that helps.
thanks

Moving the smarthub upstairs was a hole improvement, from no signal to two bars!
