Located in Washington State.
I currently have a Nest Video doorbell, I'm not sure exactly which model? Can I just remove and replace it with the Arlo Essential wired video doorbell hooking up the power wires at the unit without installing the provided power kit? I would assume that both video doorbells run on basically the same amount of power? I would just like to keep the installation as simple as possible.
Thanks

The power kit is only for use with an exisitng traditional chime. If you don't have one the replacement should be as yoiu hope.

Note you can get the AVD2001 ("wireless") model. It will work with a chime, and doesn't require a power kit. It will still trickle-charge the battery if it is connected to the doorbell wiring. If there is no doorbell wiring, then you will need to recharge it's battery from time to time.
But if you get the AVD1001 ("wired") model and have a chime, then you do need the power kit.
