New video doorbell not found on set up with VMB5000

Door bell not found during  initial set up with VMB5000 EU , updated to latest soft and firmware. Have spent over 3 hours on this !

 

Iphone 11 14.0.1

 

Have reset doorbell but app times out after a few minutes and indicates the doorbell not found . After this the chime and door bell noise do work .

 

Have followed all items on community including wifi frequency , airplane mode . Hub and phone closed to doorbell . Any help appreciated .

I don't think this would be related to being in the  EU. However, it may be related to some issues with the latest iOS release. Try an Android phone if available or an older phone with an older version of the OS.

Many thanks , have tried with an old iPad and the same issue . 

 

If you reset the doorbell and try again the first time you try the set up the ring of lights flash and there is no chime . After the failed installation the chime works and the bell makes a noise. If you try and do the install without resetting the bell then the ring of lights will not flash as in the initial set up . 

 

Any other suggestions appreciated .

May just be a bad doorbell. Swap at the store or use the Contact Support link at the bottom here.
