Mute function doesn't work

Recently noticed that when I answer the doorbell call on any of my family's devices (Two Samsung Note8, Note9 and Note21) it isn't muted even though I have it checked on all devices to mute. Really frustrating to answer to see who is there and they hear everything we're saying. Any suggestions?

You could set the doorbell speaker volume to 0.
