Is it possible to mount the Arlo Video Wirefree with a battery powered mechanical chime?

I want to avoid using Chime 2 with my Arlo setup, and I'd rather have a simple gong in my setup.

This is how I'd like my setup to look like, without additional transformers etc

Poles 0 and 1 on the mechanical chime are simple: close the circuit and it triggers a sound, open it and it goes back to initial state with another sound.

I tried a few configurations, and the best I could achieve was to push the doorbell button and trigger the first sound, but then the chime does not go back to the initial state and won't work after that first sound.

Is it even possible to achieve what I set out to achieve?

It looks like your chime uses DC power (I am seeing what looks like a battery in it).

The Arlo doorbells are designed for low voltage AC power on the doorbell wires, so you'd need to switch to a chime that uses that (and add AC power and a transformer to step down the voltage to something between 8 and 24 volts).

Thank you - all clear!
