How do you restart the camera within the app? I do not see how to do this in the app but the instructions say that is what is needed if it is not working.

What instructions are you following?
Also, what doorbell do you have?
Unfortunately you can't restart the AVD1001 or AVD2001 from the app (or from my.arlo.com).
