Hi there

I would really appreciate some help . I had  to disconnect my wired Arlo doorbell as the external mic was making very loud noises late at night .

I have tried to reconnect using the instructions on the app but it assumes it’s a new installation.

Arlo chat also kept sending me the same link .

any help would be amazing - the chime is a plug in in the wall .

many thanks !

Do you mean the Arlo chime was making loud noises?  The doorbell has an internal mic (not external), and Arlo does not sell an accessory with an external mic.

Is the doorbell the AVD1001?  Is it still in your account?

Hi there the actual doorbell with the camera on was making very loud screeching and noise - no it wasnt coming form the plug in chime - I am not going mad my neighbour heard it also !

How do I reconnect the device - the app is assuming that it is a first time installation?

You haven't said which doorbell so here's 2 links that do the same thing but depend on which user interface you're using (the old one uses Library to view recordings while the new one uses Feed):

The doorbells include a Siren feature - I am thinking you might have accidentally triggered it.

If the doorbell is still in your account, then remove it and use the hardware reset you see in @jguerdat's link.  Then you will need to set it up from scratch.
