Essential Wire Free Video Doorbell - ignores activity zones and gives double notifications

Seems like this is not an uncommon issue, wish I had checked here before I bought and installed this thing.

Activity zones were being completely ignored. Deleted other zones just down to one focused narrowly on our landing. Doorbell still gives double notifications for two to three second clips. Sometimes its nothing, sometimes its cars driving by or people on the opposite sidewalk that are well outside the zone.

Have tried cutting down the sensitivity as much as possible but this is getting a little ridiculous.

Do you have a subscription? Without one you need AC power to be able to utilize zones.

Yes it is brand new and comes with a three month trial - and regardless I had signed up for one.

Verify that the camera is activated in Settings, Subscription, Manage Cameras to be sure.

When you changed motion sensitivity, did you do so in your modes and rules? The motion test doesn't save - it's just a test.

I still do not understand the double notifications. For most alerts, I am getting two of the exact same notification on Android. Although it only saves one video clip.
