The video resolution in Doorbell must be set 720x720 to resolve grey screen issue (topic have been discussed earlier in this community). It is however the resolution setting goes back to 1536x1536 by the Arlo App itself or it hadn't saved after closed the App and opened. Tried cleared the cache, uninstalled the App, switched off the android phone, restarted, reinstalled the App, same situation. Tried to change the resolution in web based , same. Means the video resolution stays at (went back) 1536 x1536 which causes the grey screen issue. There is no "save" option inside video resolution. Anyone encountered this ? how to fix it so that the grey screen issue can be solved eventually?

starmily,
Are you experiencing the gray screen issue every time or is this issue intermittent?

It is a constantly all the time issue, until I found (from this forum) after the resolution set to 720x720 can bring the screen back. Unfortunately, and surprisingly, the resolution setting could not be save and auto-back to 1536x1536. I tried different methods to solve the grey screen but failed, only success by resolution setting. So, the issue still there and frustrating.

I am havithe same issue. Nothing I have tried will save the resolution to anything other than 1536x1536 so I can not view live feed on my Samsung TV...this is infuriating, especially when it used to work perfectly.

Same issue here with wired arlo. Resets to high resolution minutes after downgrading. Even when in the video settings I see it flip back. Renders it unusable as when I answer calls they are gray.

I just tried changing resolution a couple of times on a wire-free Gen. 1 doorbell and the settings stuck with no problems. What happens if you use the web client (my.arlo.com) to change it?
