Doorbell camera feed delay

we have had a wired video doorbell camera for sometime now, and it takes up to a minute and a half after a doorbell button press to have actual live video feed on my iPhone. I am now looking into it alternative provider as this is extremely annoying and troublesome.

Has it always done this or is this new behavior? What have you done to troubleshoot the issue? When standing next to the doorbell with your phone, what is the WiFi signal strength? Are there any new or moved wireless devices that use the 2.4GHz band near the doorbell? What is the house construction?
