The base is VMB4540r2.  I bought the doorbell two years ago, and initially it was working fine until one day it got disconnected from the base due to base firm ware update.

Since then I haven't been able to get it connected to the base. Can someone shed some light please?

I am about to return it to Costco.

Did you remove the doorbell from your account before trying to connect it again? Masyb e a reset would help:

Yes I did. Currently the doorbell is not showing up in the device list.

Did you also reset it?

It's certainly possible that the doorbell has failed but that wouldn't seem likely here. Have you checked the voltage at the doorbell with a voltmeter?

I reset it before and it didn't work, but I'll try again.

The doorbell rings perfectly, doesn't seem there is voltage issue.

No. I tried resetting, now it doesn't even ring. The wiring works, because when I touch them, it rings.
