Chime2 reverts to prior settings after reset

Chime 2 started chiming every time an animal walked by the doorbell.  The volume and melody settings would not change using the doorbell ap. Silent mode did not stop the inadvertent chimes.

I reset the chime and successfully re-installed with lower volume, and a different melody.  The chime only chimed when the door bell was pressed, and various settings like silent mode worked.

24 hours later, the chime has reverted back to prior melody and volume, and inadvertently rings. Silent mode no longer works.
