Hello, I just connected one Arlo doorbell wired camera to the door bell wires. But since i was just testing. I didn’t connect the small white transformer to be doorbell box. But my question is. The chime still works. When I press the button on the Arlo camera. The chime works. I’m confused. Is it still required to install the white piece ?

FWIW, the power kit isn't a transformer.

Since the Arlo doorbell is always drawing power, that power is also running through the chime to complete the circuit.  That can result in the chime ringing or buzzing when the doorbell isn't pressed, and can also potentially damage the chime. The power kit diverts the power from the chime when the doorbell isn't being pressed.

I suggest installing it, even though your chime doesn't seem to be misbehaving.
