There are several posts on the Arlo Doorbell Chime buzzing after installation.  Lots of complaints and solutions that don't work.   Please watch this video for the solution to this problem:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iybnWDxjlZ0

Arlo's solution to this problem is to connect the power kit that comes with the AVD1001 doorbell across front-trans or rear-trans (instead of installing a resistor as you do in the video).  That is only needed with the AVD1001 - not the AVD2001 or audio doorbell.

FWIW, while I haven't attempted to reverse-engineer the power kit, I believe it is using a zener diode, and is not a simple resistor.  It is diverting power around the chime when the doorbell isn't pressed, but passing it through the chime when the doorbell is pressed.

I have the Wired Video Doorbell which comes with the AVD1001 as a required piece to function.  So that is obviously not the solution.  Mine was still buzzing away.  That is because the AVD1001 lacks the ability to stop too much current going between the TRANS and FRONT terminals.

The AVD1001 is the wired doorbell.

Are you saying that you installed the powerkit included with the doorbell as the app instructed (between trans and front)?  And that it didn't work in your case?
