I have 2 identical looking packages for wired doorbells. One has a model number AVD1001W-100NAS and the other has AVD1001-100NAS.
what is the difference between the 2 models?

Typically it's denoting the difference between black and white versions. It's possible that the lack of "w" in the second doorbell is due to being early enough that there was no black model.

Thanks for your response. Incidently, the model with W on it, is the older one. I am just wondering if that is nearly and EOL. Any Arlo employee here can confirm?

You may want to read the following for more understanding about future EOL announcements:

The video doorbells aren't close to EOL yet - they're still in production.
