wire free doorbell - camera has long delay, or doesn’t load at all, & gray screen when answering

When I tap the play button it takes 10+ seconds to load the video. Once it finally shows, it has a 5-10 second lag (eg if someone made a noise outside I wouldn’t hear it in the app until 5-10 seconds later). Often, it doesn’t load the video at all. Also, when I answer the doorbell it is just a gray screen and never displays the video.

My doorbell is about 25 feet from my router, and my internet speed is fast. This has been a problem from when I first got the doorbell, it has never worked well.

Try bringing the doorbell just inside the door for testing. Does that make a significant difference?
