I've had the essential free wireless doorbell for a couple of years now. Just recently, I've gotten a new modem with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.  My doorbell will not connect to the new modem.  Only enabling 2.4GHz on the modem is not an option.  Will a factory reset resolve the issue? If so, how do I follow through with the reset?
Or will I need to find a new wireless doorbell compatible with my new modem?  Thanks!

FWIW, the simplest approach here would have been to set the new gateway up to use the same wifi network name and password as the old one used.  If the doorbell is still in your account, you could try that.

Did you switch to a different internet provider?  If not, do you still have the old gateway?  Or did you return it?

There was equipment upgrades in my area and was sent the new gateway.  I have already returned the old one. I will try to use old wifi name and password later today. If unsuccessful,  any other recommendations?

I appreciate your help, thank you.

See if there are any settings to disable 5 ghz, or alternatively reduce the power used for that band.

If you do either, change the settings back after the install attempt.
