Arlo wire-free door bell, Odd appearance and behavior

Hello, this is my first post since owning Arlo wired-free doorbell. I’m hoping to get some feedback on a few things. 
1. the appearance of the front looks odd. I do not recall being able to see the green board through a small hole. (See photo). Should I be concerned  and what if any damage will this cause later with it being exposed? 

2. At times when viewing video doorbell footage it freezes up. You can hear the activity but the video of person freezes. I’ve tried to troubleshoot this and widen the range but still happens.

It kinda sounds like the doorbell has multiple issues. If within warranty (1 year in most places) use the app to go to Settings, Support and choose the doorbell. Scroll down to Contacts to see what official support may offer.
