Is there anyway i can purchase a plan for my Video doorbell as a single device and still get the same features as the trial such as person recognition and vehicle recognition. The only plans i see require you to move up to the "plus" plan, which includes paying for multiple cameras. Since i don't have multiple cameras i would be paying more for a feature that is useless to me.

In the US, the only single camera plans are for Arlo Basic - which does not include person and vehicle recognition.
No idea why that is, it seems to me that all three plans should have a single-camera option.

Perhaps depending on where you're located, you should be able to buy a single camera plan. Does that not show up for you?

I saw on another post that the only plan available for single camera is the basic with no person or vehicle recognition. Too bad. I would be willing to pay a bit more for these features but not the plus plan which is considerably more and includes multiple cameras which I have no use.

Basic is the only plan that offers a single camera option. The Basic plan includes filtered alerts. You can read about how filtered alerts work here: https://kb.arlo.com/000063410/What-are-Filtered-Alerts-and-how-do-I-set-them-up-for-my-Arlo-System
