Hi everyone,
I recently purchased and have set up the wireless video doorbell 2k. At the same time, I purchased one of the rechargeable battery's as it was in the compatible accessories tab.
Upon receiving the battery it states that it's designed for "Arlo Essential Wire-Free Video Doorbell".
Does anyone know if it work for the doorbell I have as well? I don't want to open it incase it does not..
Thank you!!

The new gen 2k doorbell has a rechargeable battery that can't be removed. My issue with that is that it's not environmentally friendly, as when the battery depletes over time, you'll have to throw away the doorbell, too.
If you want a doorbell with a removal battery, which is what you bought the battery for, then you need the Arlo essential video doorbell AVD2001. Although this version is still available to purchase at some retailers, it's becoming harder and more expensive to do that.
