I went to detach my 2nd generation video doorbell to reset it, and after pressing the top release point, upon opening it, the tiny latch and spring ejected themselves into the air. I spent hours looking for them and could not locate them. Seems like a real manufacturing defect. My new doorbell is now worthless. What do you think could be done to fix this ASAP?
Thank you!

Use your warranty. Using the app, go to Settings, Support, choose the doorbell model and scroll down to Contacts. Official support should be able to replace the doorbell.
