My 2nd Gen doorbell goes into power saving mode, then alerts me to every move near my house. This hypersensitivity seems opposite to what power saving should do. Is this common?

The zones don't work in the first place so power saving mode effectively drains the battery.

Hi @MSkar

Are you referring to the Power Management > Low power mode Option?

When in this mode you should be receiving snapshots to conserve the remaining charge.

I am @ShayneS but snapshots of every movement - leaves blowing, cars passing 20ft away, you name it! I already have low sensitivity as the zones are not effective but it's as if that sensitivity switches off in Low Power mode or, even, goes to high sensitivity. Battery power drops like a stone.

I see, thanks for the clarification. I will notify the team and report back asap.

In the meantime, have you tried rebooting or removing and reinstalling the doorbell?

May I ask which troubleshooting steps you have tried so far? I don't want to suggest anything you have previously performed.

Note: When activity zones are set, the device will still detect/analyze motion per your set rules and determine if notifications/recordings will be sent.
