I am now on my second Arlo doorbell, both have shown the same very annoying behaviour.  When answering the phone call the video is fine and I can hear the caller.  But as soon as I enable the mic on my Google Pixel 6 Pro I get a horrible squawking noise, that is played out of both the phone and the doorbell.  It is impossible for the caller to understand me, and the sound gets progressively louder.  Both doorbells have displayed this behaviour, the first was returned to the retailer for an exchange, but the new one does exactly the same thing.  Is this problem specific to Pixel phones?  Is there a setting for the phone  I am unaware of?  It occurs both with the phone alone, or if I try and use the phone through a Bluetooth device.  I can play the pre-recorded messages without an issue (only with the mic off during the call). Also if I connect to the camera directly both the mic and speaker are perfectly fine.  The issue seems to be specific to the phone call.

My case I guess would be anecdotal. Honestly I don't know if connecting my wife's iOS to the account was the reason that it sorted itself out, but it seemed to work after I did that.

I live on a busy road as well so I did play around with the sound/microphone settings to try and make my voice coming out of the doorbell louder as it was hard to hear it with all the cars driving past.

I hadn't come across this forum when we had the issue so didnt realise how many andriod users had this issue. At the time i just assumed the feedback was from having the phone too close to the doorbell when i answered the doorbell.

Do you still get the same issue if you disconnect from the wifi network and answer it from a different location a good distance from your doorbell?
