So question I notice that I have my pro 2 all set up and getting feeds. My video doorbell I get notifications and video call but I don’t have any feeds of motion saved in the app. Can I still get access to this? Do I need to upgrade the hub I think I have the 4000

Getting a single-camera subscription for the camera is one way.

The other is to purchase a VMB4540 or VMB5000 smarthub, and connect the doorbell to it.  Then use the "direct access to local storage" feature to see the locally stored recordings.  That is not a great user experience, but many people do use it instead of a subscription.  Limitations include

  • recordings are only available in the app (not the browser).
  • recordings are only available in the primary account (not "friend" accounts).
  • no thumbnails, so a recording needs to be downloaded to the phone before you can see anything.
  • no ability to make manual recordings or snapshots
  • remote access requires router settings that some find difficult, and which will not work with some internet service providers.

Has the subscription for the doorbell expired?
