I can see the initial motion of someone at the door then video goes to black. Help!

Do you see the same behavior when live streaming the doorbell or is this only happening for recordings? Is it happening intermittently or every time?

No, I do not have the same problem when streaming live. It does not happen intermittently. This just started in the past two weeks when I updated my internet password and reset the door bell.

If you're still experiencing the issue, try removing the doorbell, factory reset and re-onboard as if it were a new device.
