Arlo Doorbell 2nd Gen lookback

just upgraded to the 2nd Gen doorbell. I have it wired. I previously had the regular doorbell wired only. Does this new one not have the 3 second lookback? And it appears the motion detection range isn’t as good?

It doesn't actually run on the low-voltage AC power, it just trickle-charges the battery inside.  So I don't think it has the lookback feature (which for other cameras requires AC power).

Correct.  10 feet (compared to about 15).

 

FWIW, more sensitive motion detection can get in the way with the doorbells, since the cameras cannot be aimed.

I just “upgraded “ to gen 2 doorbell.  Range is horrible.  My gen 1 would at least record cars in driveway and passing house.   Gen 2 needs a firmware update to fix this fault.
