ultra cam won't charge

Arlo ultra battery will not charge anymore...purchased in 2019 as a four pack at Best Buy in Canada.  Is it just done or is there some way to make it work again?  I have tried removing the battery and leaving it out for a day before inserting it again.  I have rebooted the Arlo base several times.  Not sure what else to do here.  Can Arlo give me some support please.

I had the same problem last year when I let one of my cam's battery get really low.  I tried charging in another camera and it would not charge in that camera either. So, I bought an Arlo battery charger that has 2 charging bays and the battery charged fine. I returned the battery to the camera and was able to charge in the camera after that.

Yes I just tried the battery in another camera. It won’t work. It is definitely the battery that is defective. What do I do now?

I have an Arlo Ultra - 3 cam system.  One of my cams had about battery power 10% left.  So, I hooked up the charging cable to the cam and it would not charge.  Tried again... same result. I pulled the battery out and tried charging it in one of the other cams... it just would not charge. But my other two cams would charge their batteries fine.  So, I ran down to Best Buy and bought a charger for $49.   NOTE: Arlo only sells their Arlo battery chargers as a 2 bay battery charger so you can charge two batteries at the same time if you prefer. So when I got home I plugged in the charger and placed the battery that would not charge and the charger light right up and charged the battery in full.  Since then, that same battery has charged fully in the camera when I attach the charging cable.

So... purchasing a charger worked for me.  My thought process at the time is that I could purchase another battery (battery is $49 same as price of a charger) and hope it will charge.  But since it didn't charge in any of my cams I decided to take a shot at buying a charger because I was sure the charger would at least charge batteries in the other two cams and if that had not worked with the "problem" battery I would have had to replace the battery. 

So... you can purchase another battery or choose the route I took and purchase a charger and see if that solves the problem.  If you decide to purchase a battery I'd suggest you charge the new battery in a cam other than the cam that housed the "problem" battery.

Since my "problem" battery got down to 10% and I typically recharge at around 35%, this might indicate that there is a threshold that he battery crosses in which it will not charge in the cam and having an actual charger may have handled the charging differently... which I believe is the case.  Another thing that I just though of...  I've never taken my cams "offline" in the app when I charge... and now I wonder if turning the cam off in the app first, especially when the battery gets that low, would have allowed the battery to charge with the cable attached.

If the battery is fully discharged, then using the external charger will often bring it back to life when in-camera charging fails.  So I agree that is an option, though it is possible you'll still end up needing to purchase a new battery.

Getting both a charger and another battery is another possibility. I find it convenient to swap out the battery with a freshly charged one - simpler than taking down the camera, bringing it inside to charge, and then putting it back up.
