overall value to other Arlo models

Hello,

How does the Arlo Ultra compare in terms of features, price, and overall value to other Arlo models, such as the Arlo Pro 3 or Arlo Essential? The camera is described as 100% wire-free. How is it powered, and what is the typical battery life? How is the magnetic charging system designed for outdoor use?

That's truly a loaded question. If you need 4k and the widest FOV, there's no other option. If you don't, then I suggest any camera that has a removable battery (the Essential models are sealed). ANy of them give at least roughly similar battery life which, of course, depends on signal strength/quality, the amount of recording and live viewing, etc. that can contribute to subpar battery life. The Ultras require a hub to connect to while the other new models also support connecting to WiFi.

As for the magnetic charging, there can be issues but I've been using it on a few models for years with few problems.
