Will the new Arlo security system work with Arlo Pro 2 system

Does anybody know if the newly announced arlo security system will work with arlo pro 2 system and the pro base sation?

No. The new security add ons will run by Zigbee or Z-wave radio. The Arlo Ultra SmartHub has these radios built in. The Arlo Pro base station does not

Not sure what you want to do, but you can use Pro 2 cameras on Ultra hubs.

The Pro 2 hubs will not, as yet, accept Ultra cameras, but who knows what they will change on that front?

Most likely the Ultra's base station will be available separately so you can add backwards compatibility with their future products. If they didn't do that it would be another bad descision to add to the long list.
