Ultra camera won't pair to the hub - VMS5140. Can't sync through iOS. Tried using sync button.

I just bought an Ultra+ camera and smarthub.  The hub is connected to my router and working but when I go through the pairing of the camera to the hub on the app (iOS), they refuse to connect.  It then makes me try to sync the camera manually (pressing the "sync" button on the camera), but the app still won't find the camera to pair. I'm fully charging the camera now (how long does it take?) as that's one supposed solution, but I'm not optimistic given others' experience.

 

Please provide any guidance.  Thanks!

WHat does the camera LED show through the whole syncing process? Have you tried the reset process described in the FAQ in the support area here?

BTW, the battery generally charges in ~3 hours.

If you have VPN active on your iOS device, turn it off while you sync. Once sync'ed, you should be able to turn VPN back on. At least that's what I have to do when sync'ing anything through my iOS devices - Arlo, Roomba, etc.
