I have max 2 bars on my cameras, even when they are placed right next to the hub. Hub is on a different floor from my router. Routers 2.4 network is on channel 2. Arlo network is showing in my wifi scan as channel 9, has been that way for 2 days. Issue effects all 3 cameras.

Edit- when using the camera positioning utility the signal strength reports as max- even though the app shows 2 bars. Yes I have the latest app.

Are you seeing any signs of connection quality issues - for example

  • failure to live stream?
  • pixelation or gaps in stored recordings?

No it’s actually fine- I realize it’s simply the app shows the signal levels at the cameras to be low, but using the placement utility shows the signal strength full. Aside from that it’s works perfectly, I will ignore the signal level in the app.

I think that's' the right thing to do.  Of course Arlo should also align the UIs so that they show a consistent signal level.
