I spent $1k on the 4pack january 2019
I bought a 512GB SD card
I can not view clips from local storage unless im at home
That defeats the purpose of having security cameras
Isnt $1k enough
Arlo makes it inconvienent to have the cameras unless subscribed
Requires a VPN on router which is almost impossible for everyday people plus one on your phone to do the most basic feature that every camera has.
If anyone is interested in purchasing mine please contact me.
Arlo please fix this people are spending big money only to not be able to view clips when away from home that is terrible & a big time scam
Should not have to have a subscription to see that.
You already took away activity zones that should be enough without subscription.
This needs to be updated & fixed please it makes no sense.
People reading this reconsider buying these cameras if youre looking for cameras dont be dumb and waste money like me. Arlo has won the battle with me by ripping me off dont let them win the war other brands are far more reliable and will let you view the content.
I purchased these cameras I should be able to see clips when im not home that are locally stored Arlo treat your customers better than this & stop trying to force feed more into our pockets ! By basically not making the cameras useful once the subscription expires.

To top it off even when Im home and a clip occurs.. In the app I have to guess which clip is which and download it before I can view thats rediculous.
I should see a thumbnail not blank clips that all have to be downloaded in order to see which is which.
This needs to be fixed treat your customers better please.

I fully agree, Arlo need better engineers to figure out the basics. If they can provide a simple solution then they need to make it free to view over the cloud.
