I have a VMB5000 hub connected with various cameras (ultra, ultra 2, pro3, and pro4). I have a SD card inserted in the hub. I don't have a subscription. They used to work well in a sense where whenever I get a notification I can see the recording under the hub section in the arlo library. But since a few days ago, the hub section stopped showing recordings, but I'm still getting notifications when something passed by. I have tried reinstall arlo app, re-login but to no avail. the SD card is 512Gb and it only has 15Gb used.

UPDATE: I ejected the SD card from the hub and connect to PC through a SD card reader. I found all the MP4 files created in the past few days. But those video files seem corrupted as I can't play them. Those files seem to have content as they have substantial size. I can play the files that are showing up in the app. Any idea why the hub started making corrupted files?

Usually files are corrupted when there is loss on the wifi connection between the base and the camera.

Have you tried rebooting the cameras and the base (power cycle the base, remove the batteries from the cameras and reinsert them)?

Maybe also move one of the cameras closer to the base, and see if that makes any difference.

Tried all these suggestions does not work

One (much more painful) thing you can try is to remove all the cameras and base from your account.  Then reset them, and add them back.

Reset the base using a paper-clip, reset the cameras by holding down sync until the LED flashes amber (about 15 seconds).

I'd rather not do this as I have 12 caneras and some of them are on the roof and hard to reach. I don't think there is wifi issue as I'm getting notifications. I think the way it saves video file is problematic.

Notifications don't require any sustained bandwidth, so getting them doesn't rule out packet loss on the connection.

What signal strength are you seeing in the app?  (unfortunately, the bars don't give much granularity, but still is good to know).

Yes, and Arlo doesn't have much incentive to fix issues with direct access to local storage.

(I don't work for them, so this is just my impression).
