Extension for Solar Panel Charging Cable. Would like to splice existing Solar Panel. Anyone tried?

Because of where my Arlo Ultra camera is located outside, I need to have an extended Solar Panel Cable.  It looks like an extension cable does not exit !.   I would like to try splicing the the existing cable on the solar panel and extended it myself.  Has anyone done this successfully, and if so I need to know (i) what is the maximum length I could add on, and (ii) where can I find the kind of cable needed to extend.  Any suggestions or thoughts to get this done successfully would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.
