I wanted to perform a factory reset on my complete system.

I reset the base station and re-added it to my account.

I'm unable to find any document showing how to factory reset the camera.  When I remove the cameras from my account and try to re-add them it still shows the old name which tells me that the camera or something in my account is remembering the settings.

Is this possible or not?

Thanks in advance,

Darren

Knowing what you really want to do might help. Why do you want to reset the system?

Have you tried adding these cameras back on to the account? Or a different account or hub?

I have found that I can move cameras between systems simply by removing from one hub/account and adding to a different hub/account.

Thanks for your response, this is my first and only Arlo unit so I don't have multiple units.  I just installed the unit and the system worked for a day before it started showing the symptoms that a number of users are complaining about on here.  Mainly trying to change the activity zones.

I know a number of users on here a stating that it started after the recent firmware on 12/3/19, but since I didn't install my camera till last week and it worked for a day.  So my thought is, it was a setting that I changed from the defaults that caused this issue to start for me.  Since a factory reset of the base station didn't work my thought was that performing a factory reset of the camera would be the next step.

Once again, thanks for the reply,

Darren

A reset of the base (removing all devices from Settings, My Devices as well as maybe holding the reset button on the hub until the LED starts flashing) is the only way to reset the camera. Reinserting the battery causes the camera to reset to it's configured status but resetting the base causes the whole system to be reset.

Thanks for the reply, I was able to figure out that even though it would show the old name of the camera when I added them back in, the cameras would have "default" settings which at first I wasn't sure was happening.

Thanks again for your assistance, have a great day.
