After 3 years, geolocation still doesn't work reliably. Even though I'm running the latest version of the Arlo app (3.2, dated 29 March 2021) on my iPhone (iOS14.6), and I have location in Settings set to "Always" for Arlo, the app only reports my arrival or departure once I open the app.
HomeKit has no problems with geofencing.
Canary has no problems with geofencing.
Do the engineers at Arlo actually understand how iOS14 (and 13 and 12 and 11...) handles location in Settings?
Do these engineers get that (apparently) hard-wiring location for the Arlo app to "While Using the App" runs contrary to the concept of auto-arming?
Is anyone at Arlo actually listening? Or competent?
