Arlo Ultra not local recording

Hi, i have an Arlo Ultra system with 2 Hubs, each with 2 cameras connected and each Hub with a microSD card installed.

These have been functioning fine for 2ish years, but about 2 weeks ago we noticed there were no recorded events on either of the Hubs. Since then i have Formatted the MicroSD card (using a PC and using the Arlo Format), restarted all cameras and Hubs, disconnected power from the Hubs and restarted. Confirmed all settings are OK (they are the same as what they have been for the last 2 years which works OK, Hubs local recording turned ON, MicroSD card showing 0 of 119GB used).

I have tried to do a manual recording from the cameras. This appears to work OK on the camera, however when i then connect to the Hub it indicates the SD card is busy (it is showing as orange for a few seconds after i stop recording), but nothing is actually saved.

Nothing shows up in the Library. The MicroSD continues to show 0 GB used.

Anyone else having trouble?

I did speak to Arlo, they were unhelpful. Any further advice would be appreciated.

 Manual recordings only go to the cloud (and can't be made if you don't have a subscription).  But motion recordings should be going to both the cloud and the microsd card.

What firmware are you running in the base?

The base is hardware version VMB5000r4.

Firmware is 1.21.1.0_1431_9611cf3. It says that no firmware updates are available.

Both bases are identical.

...and i have just checked this morning, both Hubs have now used some data (about 0.4GB on one, and 0.2GB on the other), so it appears they may be recording, but nothing is showing up in the library.
