I'm running the latest Arlo Android App V 2.13_27035 on a Samsung S5 with Android 6.01. Yes, I know it's old but everything else works just fine.

Firstly this forum needs a specific Arlo App discussion group.

I'll start with bugs:

I'm finding with the app, it's getting slower and slower with each update. For instance, after a cache clearing and reboot the app takes 40 and 60s to become responsive. There's white screens, Arlo splash screens and then the front page but it's non responsive for quite some time. I've generally put up with it quietly but now it's so bad I consider it a bug.

The battery indicator on Device Settings page does not show when I first go into the page. I have to go down a level (eg Device Info) and back again before it shows up. This has been an issue for at least the last 3 App versions including current. It's the same for Ultra and Pro cameras. That's as a shared user. As the primary user it *sometimes* shows up after about 30s.

I'm not sure if this is my old phone or the app but it's annoying none the less. On a slow connection (4g on saturated bandwidth) the thumbnails are slow to download which is understandable and if you scroll down, they gradually download and appear. BUT if you scroll back up, it seems they are downloaded again and take time to refresh. Shouldn't these be cached and re-used at least for this session?

Now for requests for enhancements:

I'd REALLY like to see the access to SDCard videos for shared users. I've got 2 arlo systems with a primary account each, then shared out to 3 users using shared to accounts per recommendation on these forums when I first set them up. I'd like to be able to access the SDCard videos as a shared user.

Bring back the time/date displayed on the videos as you play them in landscape mode. Oh wait, you have in V2.13. Yay! 🙂  or at least it displays after a tap and the video controls come back which is a much better idea.

Improve the use of real-estate on the Library page. In landscape mode, Way over half the page is taken up with menus and just white space with only about 1/3 dedicated to videos that you want to look at and scroll through.

I hope this finds the right people and is given due consideration.

Cheers

P
